Some weeks before the end of 2023, I was doing research on bands I have never seen live in order to organize a trip outside Greece and also search the possibilities of shooting this band. TesseracT was actually in my top 3, fist of all because I missed their unique concert in Athens back in 2019, but mainly because over the years I have spent even more time listening to their music, plus they released one of the best albums (War Of Being) of this genre in 2023. However, this plan was abandoned until a series of events and coincidences made me organize a trip to Milan as quick as possible. Specifically, the band would play in Alcatraz in Milan, Italy with special guests the Unprocessed and The Callous Daoboys. Periphery would also be playing the same venue the night before! I managed to shoot that show too. What a great way to begin 2024!
I could not end this report without sending my best wishes and a huge thank you to the TesseracT's lighting designer Mike St-Jean. A gifted and kind person who has been working for years with so many artists that I love. Without his help that crazy weekend would not have been possible.
