My first full-time job when I moved from Thessaloniki to Athens back in 2000 was in a machine shop as a general assistant (it lasted approximately 2 seasons) while at the same time I was studying sound engineering. It is a very hard and tough job to follow. From the physical fatigue to the working conditions, and the very high level of danger. However, working with such materials and being forced very often to find technical solutions and workarounds results in good practice for your brain. There is always a price to pay (mentally and physically) in order to follow what you dream of.
Recently I had the chance to visit again a place that brought me so many memories. Hopefully, I had my camera with me. Here are some photos from this visit. The Ex-Machinist Sessions.
Special thanks to my friend Kostas for granting me access to this place.
