Last week, I had the chance to experience a different walking tour in the streets of Athens. The tour is titled The Democracy Tour and was “performed" by my friend and colleague Dimitris Karalis.
This tour is not the usual tour that someone would expect. The concept is not just a simple citation of information but it revolves around the political and philosophical aspects of democracy in Athens. Dimitris offers a unique experience, that derives from a deep knowledge and study of history and philosophy. It is as if he is doing a street performance in the streets of Athens.
The tour’s duration is around two hours, it starts and ends where Dionysiou Areopagitou and Apostolou Pavlou streets joint.
Below you can see some footage from my experience. Have a nice walk!
Dimitris Karalis is a historian, archaeologist, but also a theatre director and musician. For further information about the Democracy Tour you can contact him directly here.
