AtlaBase: A Day At The Office
It's time to post something about my "other" work as a programmer for AtlaBase for the last four years. This project started for me almost ten years ago when I first met Vangelis Manolis as a lighting designer and we immediately became a "working duet".
AtlaBase is a special service in the entertainment industry. It is the most complete database of fixtures and other products, available for licensing. The right solution for any software team that wishes to free their hands from the time consuming task of building a library but also from supporting everyday requests. There are two kinds of licencing (basic and premium). Our library contains DMX fixtures, gobos & filters, trusses, plot symbols and media servers.
Last June, we had the chance to meet Mr. Aviv Shukrun in our office, chief programmer of Compulite which is one of our customers. Compulite is both a pioneer and innovator in its field, serving lighting professionals in the entertainment technology industry for almost 3 decades. Very soon they are going to release Vibe, a new lighting control product which will contain our library. Below, you can see some photos taken through this three-day meeting in Athens, Greece.
